Persons are called to be deacons for a 3 year term with no limitation on terms. Each Deacon couple/ single person are caregivers for a specific group of persons here at ACOB.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 
- Visit/phone/ contact persons in their care group on a regular basis.
- Provide support during hospitalizations, transitions in life, special needs that may arise, and actively pray for persons. 
- Assist Pastors with anointing and baptisms.
- Be available for urgent needs when Pastors are away.  
- As a Deacon body we are responsible for Love Feast and Bread and Cup Communion preparations. 
- Deacons are to welcome new members and visitors. 
- Deacons facilitate unity and reconciliation among the people in the congregation; working at being peacemakers. 
- Deacons are committed to sharing the Gospel and love of our Lord with all persons.
